I want to register both the sound recording and underlying composition of my song. How do I do this?

You can register both the sound recording and musical composition with one application if:

• The authors and claimants are the same for both the sound recording and composition
• The publication information is the same for both the sound recording and composition

To register both on the same application:

1. Select "Music" at the start of the copyright registration process.
   
   
   
   
2. Under "What part of the work would you like to register?" choose “Musical Composition + Sound Recording” from the drop-down box.
