You can create a copyright registration application for:
- One single work.
- A collection of published works (like an album of music).
- A collection of up to 10 unpublished works.
- Music creators can register a sound recording, the underlying composition, or both using one application too.
When creating an application for a collection of works, the authors and claimants must all be identical for each song. The roles each author played and the publication information must be identical across all works too. For example, if 9 out 10 songs on an album have the same authors and owners, they can be filed on one application. If the 10th song has a different combination of authors and owners than the other 9, it must be filed separately.
