A team is a group of collaborators whose contributions (when merged together) create a single piece of content. Anyone that is added to a team will be asked to sign the agreement.
Ownership Agreements (Split Sheet Agreements + Collaboration Agreements:
Unless there is an agreement stating otherwise, your collaborators can be considered as equal co-owners of your copyright, regardless of how small or large their contribution was. Using a split sheet agreement or a collaboration agreement, you can designate any percentage of ownership to a collaborator (0%-100%). A collaboration agreement also allows you to state which of your collaborators can license your content.
Work for Hire Agreements:
When creating a work for hire agreement, a team must consist of two parties only - the owner of the content and the contributor. Cosynd will ask you to assign the role of "contributor" to one person and will automatically assign the role of "owner" to the other.
Producer Agreements:
When creating a producer agreement, a team must consist of two parties only - the owner of the sound recordings and the producer. Cosynd will ask you to assign the role of "producer" to one person and will automatically assign the role of "owner" to the other.
Signing on Behalf of a Company?
If you are inviting this collaborator for the first time to Cosynd and they will be signing on behalf of their company, check the box marked "This collaborator will sign on behalf of a company." If your collaborator already has a Cosynd account, they will need to check the box marked "I will sign on behalf of a company" and enter their company details before you create your team.
